When at 47 years old, I was ready to stop using, I went to the 12 step program. They told me to go to 90 meetings in 90 days. I was so ready, I said, heck, I'll do 90 in 30 days! And I did. I found every meeting house and noticed differences at each one. My brother gave me a great bit of advice...don't think about how they are different, find how they are the same as you. We are all screwed up together. Very comforting to me. Now I realize the beauty of a group. I used to think I knew it all myself. Ha! Found someone always adds a good piece I missed!
